Alex was very excited to be mentioned. We can't wait for the Mayhem Fest.

First time I saw Manson, I went and bought a shirt to represent. Said "God Is In The TV" on the front, and I wore that motherfucker until it fell apart. Wore it to all shows. Got blood, sweat, and metal all over it. I still have it, though it's not so much black as it is a sad grey/white, and it's not so much a shirt-shaped item anymore. More like a shop rag.

Which brings up a point: while generally not recommended to wear the shirt of a band you are seeing to their show, i think there's a grey area when going to a big festival show. Wearing a Slayer shirt to Mayhem Festival this summer tells people: "I am here to see SLAYER. The rest is a bonus."

I especially like band shirts at a show, because it makes me feel like all these metal fans are congregating to see a single band, and they come from a wide range of factions of other bands. Turns the experience into more of a convention. Makes you feel like a large quantity of bands and music are in attendance, at least in spirit, for a ceremony of some sort.

My favorite merch? I'm especiallu stoked about that Gojira drumstick I caught at the end of their set, but I dunno if that counts.
