Matthew's Top Ten of the 21st Century

So on last week's podcast, Dev and I discuss that Metal Sucks' awesome "Top 21 Albums of the 21st Century... So Far" and we promised to each give ya our top ten. Here is mine:

10. Crack The Skye - Mastodon - An instant classic that will end up higher as the years pass.
9. Blessed Black Wings - High On Fire - Matt Pike is more metal than just about everyone else put together.
8. Death Magnetic - Metallica - One year later and this record keeps getting better.
7. From Mars To Sirius - Gojira - Flyin' Whales. Nuff said.
6. Popsicle - Diamond Nights - This album sounds like summer in Seattle for me.
5. Miss Machine - Dillinger Escape Plan - I still don't understand what the hell is going on, and I like it that way.
4. Ashes of the Wake - Lamb of God - The biggest grower of all time. When from "meh" to "holy fuckin' shit" in 1o listens.
3. Closing In - Early Man - Pretend best friends playing the best riffs of the decade.
2. Rated R - Queens of the Stone Age - If I did drugs, I think this album would be my religion.
1. Leviathan - Mastodon - The gamechanger that brought heavy music back in the fold. "Hearts Alive" is the epic to end them all.
