Scott Travis is god. God knows what long time Priest fans thought hearing his opening drum blitzkrieg on Painkiller. We would have shit our pants. Wait. We just did.
We're gonna go ahead and give Travis all the credit for Painkiller being a speed metal masterpiece, and maybe the most underrated heavy metal release by a major band. It's too bad Halford left the band and we didn't get a proper follow up until Angel Of Retribution. Oh well, check out the title track attack and note how fuckin' hard it is for Halford to sing this shit. Yikes.
