Duty's Deep Band Cuts: Mountain

Ladies and Gents, our second attempt at a semi-regular post, "Duty's Deep Band Cuts" series is knockin' out yer door. The staff likes the classic rock (really?) with our Lizzy, Priest, and Roth Halen obsessions well documented 'round these parts. But as much as we love them classic rock staples, we're been tryin' to branch out and get into some deep album cuts from some other Duty-rific bands that FM radio loves only once a day. First up: Mutha-fuckin' Mountain.

What's not to like 'bout the Mountain? P-90 guitar goodness, no one ever talks 'bout 'em (which scores high on our list) and easy access to one of our favorite bits: Fat Dude Playin' Guitar.

So their claim to fame is that tune Ozzy covered "Mississippi Queen," which the Duty recognizes as a great cut. But check out this D.A.C. from way back, with the smokin' fuzz tone, nifty hat, and super 70's-ish vibe:

Think of how much you can impress your peers by talkin' up your knowledge of a band that most people only know of one riff. C'mon, The Heavy Duty says check 'em out!
