BAAAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!

If we had to pick our favorite album by a band that we didn't like any of their other albums, "Independent Worm Saloon" by the Butthole Surfers is the solid choice. We kinda slept on this record for the last couple years, but it has found its way back into heavy rotation at Duty headquarters. We got into this band from the one-two punch of this commercial and various video appearances on Beavis and Butthead, so you can understand it's profound influence on us.

The album holds a soft spot in our hearts because we bought it the day before we started high school. Listening to it makes us feel 14 years old way more that "In Utero" does. Tons of fuzzed out guitar riffs, lots of wanky guitar solos, but also a couple great acoustic ballads. John Paul Jones know his shit. Dude was from Zeppelin!

  1. The Surfers record for everyone who doesn't like them. Yes, it's fucking great. Ultra-sustained solos, riffs a-plenty, megaphoned singing.

    Buy it.
