Probably No Babes Tonight

So it's Friday night, and with all this talk of live shows, Heavy Duty is in the mood to get screamed at by burly long haired dudes. But we checked our local listings and didn't see anything that looked beefy enough for us. So we'll probably do what we always do: watch this or the Judas Priest "Rising In the East" DVD again. If you haven't seen this one yet, what the fuck is wrong with you? The power of the Priest is still going 30 years later. Sure, bassist Ian Hill only has one move, Glenn Tipton has the ugliest guitars of all time, K.K. Downing was replaced by Brad Whitford, and Halford can barely stand up throughout the set (he doesn't even get off his bike during "Hell Bent for Leather"), but they still pull it off. Drummer Scott Travis barely breaks a sweat and they play all the songs you want to hear. Including "Hot Rockin'" of course. I know Heavy Duty seems to be just a little crazy with our love of the Priest, but somebody's gotta fly that metal flag. UNITED WE STAND ONE AND ALL!
